This is our hotel from the promenade
It was misty over the sea but there was little wind and a few people were sunbathing and people fishing and diving
Some chimneys along the beach have been preserved from Malaga's industrial past and an active port still exists.
We walked as far as we could along the beach and then turned in towards the airport. We saw our first swallows and swifts of the year. Although TomTom showed a walking route and we started with pavements we soon had to give up and managed to catch a passing taxi.
The flight was on time and we were soon leaving the airport in our hire car.
Once James and Helen were checked in, we headed for the nearest beach cafe where we ate a local speciality, freshly barbecued sardines followed by a barbecued fish with potatoes. All the beach restaurants have a wood barbecue outside in a small boat. Here you can see sardines on the right and our fish in the middle
and the end result
We walked along the beach towards the town
and into a park with a lighthouse
before an ice cream and a rest.
In the evening, we went back towards town and found a bar/restaurant to eat at.
